Everyone kept saying what a beautiful day it was for Lindsey and Scott’s wedding, and they weren’t kidding.  The sun was out, the birds were singing, and everyone could feel the joy from this wonderful couple.  It was a fairy tale wedding at Greate Bay Country Club, to say the least.  Rev. Brian Jude Piatkowski presided over the couple.  There was a brilliant string duo, a releasing of butterflies, and of course a grand kiss.   During cocktail hour, the talented and well-established Jack Mazzeo took advantage of the beautiful scenery with his team of Jen and Kevin for bridal party photographs.  Once the portraits were taken, it was time to get the night started.  The party was led by the always upbeat DJ Bishop from DJ’s Available who brought in an equally upbeat bridal party.  Lindsey and Scott shared their first dance, were graced with two remarkable toasts, then shared the rest of the night with family and friends in joy, laughter, and happily ever after.  Lindsey and Scott, thank you so much for letting us capture your special day.  I had just as much fun as the rest of your guests, and I wish you a lifetime of happiness together!  Sincerely,  Jay Garrison

Jaime & John were one of the most down-to-earth, happiest couples we have ever had the privilege of capturing.  Their day was held at the beautiful Stockton Seaview resort in Galloway, New Jersey.  There was a threat of rain, but mother nature knew better than to impose on this outside ceremony.  Although the aisle may have stayed dry for Jaime to walk down, not every eye in attendance could remain the same.  The vows were spoken, the rings exchanged, and the kiss made its mark.  From there, the guests were invited indoors for an impeccable cocktail hour while the bridal party stayed outside with the talented Mary Veterano from Mary Meghan Photography.  Once the portraits were taken, it was time for the party to start with DJ Paul Cole from DJ’s Available in control of the reins.  He catered to every member of the party without slowing down the flow of the night.  Once the night did come to an end Jaime thanked me for making things so easy for her.  Honestly though, Jaime, it was you, John, and all of your guests who made things easy for me.  Check out the video, and you’ll see what I mean  Sincerely,  Jay Garrison

Probably one of the most creative couple we have ever had the pleasure of capturing, Courtney & Tim celebrated their wedding day in unique fashion.  The ceremony at St. Vincent Palloti Church was a most elegant occasion supported by a string quartet and numerous singers of exceptional talent.  It was the reception at Brigalia’s, though, where the creativity took a more prominent role.   Two days preceding Halloween, it was more than fitting to have the wedding party and guests fashion themselves to fit the theme of the Roaring 20′s.  From flappers to bootleggers, there was certainly a cast of characters in the crowd  that night.  The festivities therein were also beyond expectations.  There was a flash dance, ballroom dancers, and a first dance song specially sung by the siblings of Courtney & Tim.   Watch their Highlight now, and see for yourself!

The 1st of October was a stunningly beautiful day.  The sun was shining, the humidity was gone, and in Wildwood, New Jersey Krista and Owen exchanged wedding vows to become the new Mr. and Mrs. McGuire.  This fun-loving couple had a picture perfect ceremony at St. Ann’s Church where a multitude of guests got to see them walk down the aisle.  After the ceremony, Eric Bennett from Perfect Day Photography capitalized by getting photos around some of the landmarks in the area.  My favorite was Keenan’s Irish Pub where Krista and Owen first met.  Later in the evening, the reception unfolded at the Avalon Links Restaurant.  The guests certainly came to party, and it was not hard for them to do so with DJ Jimmy Mulholland behind the controls.  Everyone was having such a great time, including myself, that the night seemed to be over in the blink  of an eye.  No worries, though, Krista and Owen.  You now have these wedding day highlights to enjoy again and again.  May you two share a lifetime of happiness together.  Sincerely, Jay Garrison

9-10-11 may have been the most popular wedding date this year, and what a beautiful day it turned out to be…especially for Lauren and Steve.  The day began at Our Lady of Angels Church in Cape May Court House where the bride and groom arrived in style via a 1962 Rolls Royce!  After the exchange of vows and processional down the aisle, the newly weds were whisked away together in that same beautiful automobile.  I must say my expectations were exceeded that day.  I did not expect to see such a pristine vehicle make its way onto the beach for photo ops.  That was a great call by the creative photographer Scott Prince.  After leaving the beach and arriving at The Golden Inn, I also did not expect to see such a wild and energetic party at the reception.  You would have thought this crowd were in their early 20′s as they stayed on the dance floor until the very end of the night.  Credit is due to DJ Adam from Schaffer Sound Productions, for he knew exactly how to keep everyone moving.  Lauren and Steve, it was a pleasure to be with you guys on your big day, and I hope you enjoy these highlights.  Sincerely, Jay Garrison

You would not think mid August would submit to a record breaking heat wave, but we all were thankful that it did.  The gorgeous weather on August 12, 2011 was perfectly fitting for this calm, cool, and collective couple in Adrienne and Ryan.  The bride and groom were not the only ones who remained in calm spirits, it was also St. Peter’s Father Dave Rivera’s very first wedding!  You would have never known, though, and this beautiful couple were united in Holy matrimony.  From there, Adrienne and Ryan travelled to the outstanding Venice Plaza in Berlin, New Jersey where things got underway for the reception.  There was great food, plenty of drinks, and a jam packed dance floor to carry the party the whole night through.  There was also a first-time experience in my professional career during the bouquet and garter event.  It was the first time I, and even the photographer Joe Clementi, ever saw two females refuse to relinquish the bouquet.  So the lucky guy who caught the garter got to put it up the legs of not one but two girls!  Adrienne and Ryan, I hope you enjoy reliving these fun moments.  Best wishes, Jay Garrison

“Breathtaking” is the best word to describe the beautiful venue and beautiful bride.  As I approached The Ashford Estate for the first time, I couldn’t believe my eyes.  It was defiantly one the nicest wedding locations I have seen in my 15 plus years in the wedding industry.  South Jersey has it all!  After taking in the amazing grounds, I went to see Karen in the master suite while getting ready with her girls.  ”Karen, you are just as sweet as you are beautiful.”  It was a great moment as Karen walked down the staircase, tapping Mike on the shoulder and turning to see each other for the first time on their wedding day.  After taking pictures with the talented photographer, Danielle Hopkins it was time to join family and friends in the chapel for the ceremony.  The renovated barn on the property was another treat…what a unique setting.  After Karen & Mike exchanged vows, it was a short walk to the extended cocktail hour where the amazing food and busy bartenders kept everyone happy.  As if that wasn’t enough…the reception topped the day perfectly.  The party rocked all night long as DJ Jeff Balkin, of Sound Connection Entertainment did a great job keeping the dance floor packed.

From the moment I met Amy and Matt, it was as if I had been reacquainted with old friends.  You two were both so kind and cooperative it made me feel like I was a part of the family.  That sort of kindness definitely allows for me to be more creative and makes for some great highlights.  Such as your heartfelt vows exchanged at St. Joan of Arc Church, the beautiful photo session by the lake with your awesome photographer Heather Hibbert, and of course the non-stop party at the Venice Plaza conducted by the one and only Frank Catrambone, Jr.  It was a Rutgers themed wedding for two wonderful college sweethearts.  The whole day seemed to fly by so fast, I’m sure you will see some great moments you missed from the day.  Enjoy!  Sincerely, Jay Garrison

It was my first time at The Palace in Somerset Park, and what a place to have a wedding!  The atmosphere was absolutely gorgeous, and the service showed personal care to every detail of the day.  Perfectly fitting for our couple, Laura and Reuben.  Every step of the wedding day was a class act.  From the beautiful ceremony amongst friends and family, to the impressive spread at cocktail hour.  Your guests had already been treated beyond their expectations, I’m sure, and it only got better as the reception got started.  Jeff Balkin from Sound Connection Entertainment did a great job introducing you as husband and wife, then later keeping the bodies moving on the dance floor.  They only time they stopped to rest was for the amazing Viennese station. Doreen & Mike were married on July 2, 2011, and what a surreal event it was.  Only one year earlier, I was amongst the same family and friends in Louisiana for her cousin Lisa’s wedding.  Now, here in New Jersey, it was Doreen’s turn.  It was so nice to see a lot of familiar faces, and even nicer to meet a few new ones.  And the South was still represented by a great bunch of guests from Texas on Mike’s side of the family.  The ceremony at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church was eloquently conducted by Father Paul.  In his own sermon he taught the crowd about the eleventh commandment, which says, “Party hardy.”  And indeed everyone did come reception time at Il Villagio.  Live music from Oasis had all the guests up on their feet the whole night through.  I especially liked the guest performance by Mike’s friend Dave.  I’ll say no more, just watch for yourself.  Sincerely,  Jay Garrison.
