This year’s Annual Atlantic Shore Cares’ Fundraiser was held at Bally’s on March 18, 2010, to benefit friend and colleague Gary Panter. A life long resident of the Atlantic City area, Gary grew up in Brigantine and graduated from Holy Spirit High School-Class of 1973.
Throughout his life, Gary has been continuously committed to helping his family and friends. He has been,and still is, involved in a number of community organizations. Gary served as Entertainment Director at Bally Atlantic City and is a former Vice President of Legends in Concert in Las Vegas. Currently, he is a well known & respected Realtor with Keller Williams Realty.
In early January, Gary was diagnosed with a brain tumor. After partial removal during surgery, it was discovered he had brain cancer. Gary has started an aggressive and intensive chemotherapy treatment with radiation treatment to follow. His prognosis is encouraging and manageable. This event was to help rally support to benefit Gary, his wife, Mary Jo, and their three children Brittany, Brielle and Brandon as they face uncertain and challenging times ahead.
Alliance Video was honored to participate in this event. The evening was filled with great music, delicious food and wonderful family and friends. Local performers included; Jeremiah Hunter Band, Geri Mingori, Gina Roche, Al Casalnova and many other special guests including, Sean Landeta from the Philadelphia Eagles and NY Giants.
As a donation to the cause, Alliance Video will contribute $5 of each DVD sale to Gary and his family. My Dear Friend Gary,
You know how close this is to me. Lost my MOM to Brain Cancer last Feb. and you and I were talking about it at SCORE before you found out about your own situation. I recently started a non profit for Brain Cancer Research and you know you can call me anytime. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family EVERY DAY and will continue to call you every week to see how you are doing!
